The following table shows the NDIS messages with a description of the purpose of each.

Programming element	Description
NDIS_TAPI_EVENT	This message is sent to report spontaneously occurring events on the line or on a call on an established line to Telephony API (TAPI) through NDISWAN.
NDIS_WAN_LINE_DOWN	This message is sent to indicate a line-down status.
NDIS_WAN_LINE_UP	This message is sent to report spontaneously occurring events on the line or on a call on an established line to Telephony API (TAPI) through NDISWAN.
