Latest version of Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime 109.0.1518.140 compatible with Windows 7

Where can I download the latest versions of programs compatible with Windows 7, Microsoft Edge and WebView2 Runtime 109.0.1518.140 and WebView2 SDK 1.0.1518.46 from? There are only descriptions of these versions on Google and download links only to the latest versions that are incompatible with Windows 7.The latest Foxit Reader PDF viewer recommends installing WebView2 Runtime, but I would also like to download the WebView2 SDK version just in case, even if I have never used the SDK version.I know that it is not recommended to use Windows 7 for the Internet, but I built an old computer to play old games and run old and new programs, and these programs require Microsoft Edge WebView2.

There is no version of Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime 109.0.1518.140 on the website https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?form=MA13LH, only the latest versions are available in the offline installer.

It is possible to install the Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime 109.0.1518.140 version when I select Evergreen Bootstrapper and click download, but this is an online installer. When I run it on Windows 7 and there is access to the Internet, the Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime 109.0.1518.14 version will be installed, i.e. the latter is compatible with Windows 7, but I am looking for an offline installer.

I tried a trick to save the C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp folder as an offline installer when installing this version on Windows 7, right after the download.

but the normal version of the Microsoft Edge installer is downloaded to this folder and the installer installs Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime with some parameters from this normal installer, but I don't know these parameters.

On the Internet, several people have uploaded offline installers of 32 and 64 bit Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime, but in version 109.0.1518.78 instead of version 109.0.1518.140. If they uploaded the required version, 109.0.1518.140, there would be no issue. These versions are not much different, but since the latest compatible version of the Microsoft Edge browser is version 109.0.1518.140, I also want to have an offline installer in this version.

    @abbodi86 listed the method of installing using Microsoft Edge Standalone Installer. However, the disadvantage is that it will generate a %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate folder, which will store multiple Edge installation packages, taking up additional space. Windows 7 is no longer being updated, so this folder is no longer useful.

    After observing the installation process with Fidller and procexp64.exe, I found the following installation method that doesn't take up extra space (consistent with @Kacper Syguła 's answer)

    Download Edge Mini Setup

    Type A

    Download "x64Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime" from catalog.update.microsoft.com

    You will get microsoftedgestandaloneinstallerx64_1c890b4b8dd6b7c93da98ebdc08ecdc5e30e50cb.exe

    Use an extraction tool to extract MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe.{0D50BFEC-CD6A-4F9A-964C-C7416E3ACB10} from this exe and rename it to MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe

    Type B

    Use the command to get a dynamic download URL.

    Open EdgeUpdateUrls.json, find and download the URL for "FileId": "MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe", Then rename it to MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe

    Setup Edge and WebView2

    If you run MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe directly, it will install Edge Browser to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge.

    If you add these parameters to run , it will install WebView to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\EdgeWebView 

    MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe --msedgewebview --verbose-logging --do-not-launch-msedge --user-level

    They will not create the %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate folder.

    Install to Machine Mode

    The method above installs to user mode by default. Use --system-level instead of --user-level to install to machine mode.

MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe --msedgewebview --system-level

    Will install Edge Browser to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge and WebView to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView (Even if it's a 64-bit installation, it will still install to (x86))
