Surface Go won't screen mirror to Roku SS+

I recently purchased a new Surface Go.  I can't get it to screen mirror to any of the 4 ROKU Streaming Stick+ devices I have in the house. All ROKU firmware is up to date, all Surface software is up to date (insofar as Windows Update thinks it is at least).  I have a Dell laptop running Win10 that connects to the ROKUs just fine, but the Surface won't.  When I choose Connect from the action center I see all the streaming sticks, but if I try to connect to any it just says "Connecting to your device" and spins. No connection is ever established and after a bit it times out with the message "Couldn't connect".  I've tried researching and done everything I can find, including turning off Bluetooth.  Nothing works.  Any help appreciated.

    Hi Smonty99,

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Surface Community. I'm sorry to hear that you can't use your Roku to your Surface Go. We do have some questions to narrow down this concern and some suggestions that may lead to a solution.

Have you tried to call the manufacturer of your Roku and ask it's compatibility?

We can't totally guarantee yet if this works on Surface Go, however to make sure that we don't have any concern on the Surface Go, have you tried doing a Miracast on your Surface Go? If that works fine, I think we better reach out to its manufacturer or you can visit their forum.

Neither the reboot nor the diagnostic toolkit helped.

I contacted ROKU support before I came here.  They said "well it works fine from the Dell laptop, so it must be a problems with the Surface Go".  I tend to agree with them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "have you tried doing a Miracast".  I thought that's what I was doing when I tried to Connect from the action center to project my screen.
