When I entered immersive reader for a page in MS Edge for Linux, The read-aloud button was missing. This happened shortly after I updated from edge 98 to 99. I also tried reinstalling edge, installing dev/insider versions, reinstalling the OS, but nothing seems to help. Please assist me. I am on kernel version 5.4.0-100-generic And the distro I use is called Linux lite. Has the read aloud feature been removed ?. PS: The OS category didn't have Linux . So I Chose Android instead. The feature works fine on windows 10

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

I believe this feature is currently only available in the Dev builds when using the Insider program for Edge on Linux.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

Well, the read-aloud button was there in edge 98 and was working perfectly fine until I ran sudo apt-get upgrade . I also tried the insider/dev versions of edge but still no luck :-(

Unfortunatly, I contacted support and send bunch of feedbacks but still no response.

Definetly at MSFT features are not tested even for existence before every kind of release

Yeah, I gave feedback on this. Oh, and btw, 2 new problems popped up. Now I cant change my DNS Settings cause every time I change it, it just reverts to my default service provider who literally censors everything in the known universe.

The second issue is that, when I open the dev-tools and switch to mobile view, the entire browser crashes if I am on an HTTP connection with my beloved localhost:80. Makes development a nightmare.

I tried if the read-aloud thing is only an issue on my PC but I tried multiple distros and even other computers running Debian, fedora, and arch. This proves that it is an issue with the browser and not with my sys.conf

Is any other human experiencing this on Linux?

I am replying using windows 7 edge which seems to run perfectly and my Gentoo is recompiling which unenabled me from replying from Linux. May lord Stalman forgive me.
