Hey @Evilstone94478, I'm having the very same problem. To me, it seems the MSFT removes the functionality on purpose.

When I entered immersive reader for a page in MS Edge for Linux, The read-aloud button was missing. This happened shortly after I updated from edge 98 to 99. I also tried reinstalling edge, installing dev/insider versions, reinstalling the OS, but nothing seems to help. Please assist me. I am on kernel version 5.4.0-100-generic And the distro I use is called Linux lite. Has the read aloud feature been removed ?. PS: The OS category didn't have Linux . So I Chose Android instead. The feature works fine on windows 10

Is there any reason for MSFT to do this? I mean, this has happened several times in the past
P.S: Sorry for my grammar in the previous reply. I was in a hurry and neither Grammarly nor Editor was working at the moment for some reason loll.
No worries I get what you write. Like you, I like this feature too, it is something truly useful.
But I can't see another reason for MSFT to do it, because it is much easier to leave a feature instead of controlling how will remove it on a build.
I don't check the source code of Edge but, my guess would be this feature uses an Azure service to stream the voice, and the "Read Aloud" would be only an interface that we control.
But I could be wrong.
Anyway, you can try Speechify extension isn't the same but it will do the same.
