SwiftKey clipboard got cleared

Hello

I was in the middle of pasting some things from the clipboard when everything on it disappeared. It was all pinned.

It happened in the span of less than a second. It was there, I blinked, it was gone. Kinda perplexing.

Is there any way to reset it? I can't say that I had top secret important things on there, but like, it was useful stuff for me.

I'm not sure what product to choose

Hello Default_2025224 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Thank you for your feedback, it has been a pleasure assisting you with this issue!

I understand your frustration with this issue.

However, this issue is beyond the scope of this forum.

You can see if there is a setting in the program SwiftKey to send feedback.

to send your question there, or you can try going to the following link

Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard help & learning

Let's see if there is something here that can help you with this issue

What I understand is that this one has a time that the clipboard contents can be saved for

    Changing the clipboard expiration setting

If you frequently need to save clipboard content, you can adjust SwiftKey's clipboard settings:

    i. Open the SwiftKey app.

ii. Go to Settings > Clipboard. iii.

iii. Ensure that the Clipboard Content Retention Time is set to Maximum Time (if available).

iv. Make it a habit to pin important clipboard content to avoid timeouts.

You can see if it was deleted due to timeout!

Always looking forward to your feedback again!

This has happened to me 3 times now. Super annoyed. Why can’t Swiftkey just access the Apple keyboard text shortcuts like Gboard does and other keyboards do. That would save all this clipboard nonsense and I would know that my text shortcuts won’t go missing. or at least a back up option. So dumb.
