How can I get rid of my login screen idiotically advertising candy crush? What a shameless ad blast.

As above - I turned on my computer and before the login page it says "download candy crush" - I can't tell you how much this makes me want to never use windows again.

    This guy isn't really explaining the steps clearly. First, Microsoft clearly put this ad on our computers with a recent update. It's happening to all of us and doesn't need to be replicated with some kind of forensic analysis. Second, what he is trying to say is go to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen > Personalize your lock screen > select Slideshow and then the option to uncheck the Get Fun Facts appears. Third, Microsoft now puts ads on computers through unwanted apps. Go to Start and look for any app you don't want and uninstall. Be sure to click uninstall after removing each individual app. Fourth, Microsoft puts ads on our Search function now. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Search Permissions > More Settings > and toggle Show Search Highlights off.

    There are additional instructions to remove ads from Widgets, File Explorer, Device Usage, Notification Ads, Suggested Content and numerous other places Microsoft has put ads in. Here is the website to get instructions: How to disable annoying ads on Windows 11 | Windows Central

    Hello MarkusHannan.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    Regarding to your information I assume that you have some issues on screenlock.

    Do you have any third-party software that starts up when your computer boots? We are unable to replicate your issue.

    Please try going to Settings (Win+I) -> Personalization -> Lock Screen, then uncheck the options for "Get fun facts, tips, and more from

    Windows and Cortana on your lock screen." Also, try setting your lock screen to a picture, and then perform a clean boot of your system

    to see if the ads still appear.

    A clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a

    background service or program is interfering or causing a problem. 

    These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order

    and step-by-step.

    If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    theres no option to uncheck the options for "Get fun facts, tips, in my settings under personalization, what is the running background task that windows comes installed with on new devices?

    update, that checkbox for uncheck the options for "Get fun facts, tips, pops up when you click picture and select your own... will update if this works
