Surfacebook2 Windows 11 Upgrade Broke Wifi

Hello,

I'm having an obnoxious issue after updating a Surfacebook2 to windows 11.

The Marvell Avastar Network adapter says its working but no wifi networks pop up. This only occurred after the upgrade. Additonally, I have completely reset the device, as well as updating all the drivers, reinstalling the drivers from here but the problems continue to persist: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56261 while it says they are compatible with windows 11, obviously this one is not.

The driver itself has not been updated since september of last year (2021) before windows 11 was released. Additionally I have tried several versions of the same driver but with no luck.

Please let me know if there are any solutions, or if others have been also experiencing this issue. I'm a bit frustrated at the lack of QA as why would you let the surfacebook be upgraded if it breaks critical hardware and now can't get on the wifi at all.

I have managed to get the ethernet to work by plugging it into a dock but then of course that defeats the entire purpose of it being a surfacebook.

I have the same issue on my surface book 1.

This is definitely a windows 11 issue. Most likely the wifi/bluetooth drivers.

    A recent update did this

I've tried every way to reset the network and other frustrating windows ways to troubleshoot.. no luck.

My bluetooth mouse is also not connecting.

I know my hardware is fine because i have an installation of arch Linux on the same surfacebook. Everything including bluetooth and wifi works perfectly on Linux. But not in windows.

May I confirm if you have tried to perform the methods that Barb Bowman suggested?

The UEFI Toggle did nothing unfortunately.

It might be interesting to have him disconnect from the dock and restart and then run a wireless network report.

Analyze the wireless network report (microsoft.com)
